Department Of Micro Biology

Department of Microbiology was established for UG in the year 2005 and for PG in the Year 2009. We provide a center of expertise for numerous aspects of microbial biology. It is matter of pride for the Department that every session students of post graduation secured to passion in University Merit list.

Microbiologists study microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa. They study many important practical problems in medicine, agriculture and industry, looking at how microorganisms affect us and how we can exploit them. Microorganisms affect every aspect of life on earth and, consequently, microbiologists work in a wide variety of settings, although the majority of work is laboratory-based.
